Default Experience the Dark Side of the Moon Live

Dark Side of the Moon is still the benchmark for rock and roll albums, in my humble opinion. Not a week goes by without my listening to it start to finish at least once. Recently, I started combing Youtube for live performances since I very much doubt we will see Pink Floyd tour again and I was not lucky enough to see them previously.

Having worked in the local theater union for a decade or so, I have seen a lot of concerts by a lot of artists. Never have I seen anyone do the brilliant spectacle of a show that Pink Floyd does combined with the amazing concert.

So here, in order, is the entire Dark Side of the Moon album done live. Most clips are from the P.U.L.S.E tour which followed the release of their last album, The Division Bell, and did not include Roger Waters. There are a couple of clips from Live 8 where Waters reunited with the group and we got to see the lineup that did Dark Side perform together one last time.

Great album. I used to listen to it in the dark with headphones in my room at night in high school.

You may not get a chance to see Pink Floyd live again (I was fortunate enough to see them once), but I would commend unto you The Machine. They are a Pink Floyd tribute band. I have seen them a couple of times, most recently last weekend at The State Theater in Falls Church. They do an excellent job not only recreating the sound, but they put on a decent light show as well.

I see you are in Texas, and looking at their posted tour dates, I don't see a stop there anytime soon. You may want to keep an eye out though.
