Valet Parking-without the valet
Lexus has a feature on some of its upper end models that pretty much takes over the messy job of parallel parking-at least that's what the ads say, I've seen road tests where this feature isn't as foolproof as Lexus may claim.
Stanford University has modified a Volkswagen Passat to go this one better-here's a vid of the car entering a parking lot, finding a parking place and parking itself without having anyone in it at the time. They plan to enter a similarly modified autonomous Audi TT in the 2010 Pikes Peak Hillclimb-this could be interesting.
